Sweater time

I decided it was time to get a photo of myself in this sweater before I outgrow it.

I'm growing quickly these days, you see.

I can stretch this far.

Two hands!

Mom and dad can't leave anything lying around anymore.

Perhaps there's something good to grab over there.

Grabbing and throwing is fun!

To do it, first you grab and then you throw.

I take this seriously.

Sunday attire

I was feeling a bit formal today, so I decided to wear this dress in the afternoon.

The decision had nothing to do with getting applesauce all over what I was wearing before. Nothing!

Ba ha ha ha ha!

Formal attire goes well with my excellent posture.

You know, even nicely dressed babies need to lie back and relax sometimes. It doesn't make us any less prim and proper.

Smell my foot!

What do you mean, "No?"

Fine. Be like that. More for me.

Hee. (I have more teeth now.)

Three B+W and a surprise

Oh, hello there.

I'm kind of sleepy today. Busy weekend.

I can't wait until I get some time off--you know, maybe sit down with a good sock to chomp on.

Have I mentioned that I can stand up with just a bit of support?

I think I'll be an editor

The office supplies are excellent.

See?

What do you mean, "Babies can't play with office supplies?"

I'm playing with some right now. Try to keep up.

Hee!

OK. Fine. My parents have given me safer office supplies.

Actually, this kind is much more fun.

What do you call this thing, anyway? I'll tell you what I call it:

Delicious!

Natural light and "dog lens"

Dad decided to use just window light and his trusty "dog lens" today.

Our first few photos have a distinctly old-fashioned-film feel ...

... as you can clearly see.

This is me looking for my pig. (Don't worry. I found it.)

I play two pianos at once now. It's like those guys in the prog-rock bands who have about ten keyboards all stacked up. It's exactly like that.

The camera on mom's cell phone is all blurry now. I have no idea why.

Stop looking at me like that!

This is my "pre-pensive" look. I like to use it right before ...

I get really pensive.

I am ever so pensive.

I am practically in a trance here, what with all this pensivity.

What can I say? I'm surprisingly thoughtful for a 9-month-old, 13lbs 15 oz, 26.5-inch-tall baby.

See what I did there? One must blog one's stats.

It's a shame they don't measure eyelashes.

Finally, transportation

After months and months of asking and waiting, I finally got some wheels. Thanks, Eric and Emily!

This is how I roll.

My parents set my wagon aside for weeks, making all sorts of excuses about how I don't know how to drive (or "walk"), how adding me to their policy would raise their rates, and how really I'm just nine months old. Can you believe it?

Ba ha ha ha!

Mom insists that I mention that the wheels were blocked for today's photo opportunity.

Wagon... won't... move... no matter... how hard... I... push...

Enough of that. I'm exhausted.

The wagoneer has become the wagonee!

This thing gets fantastic mileage.

This is probably not normal

My parents put this gigantic image of me on the wall.

I got accustomed to it pretty quickly.

Now I do most of my light reading right here in the hallway.

Noah came over today

I got to play with my friend Noah today.

Mwah!

Dad took a couple of Noah by himself.

I had gone out to the store for magazines and seltzer, so I didn't mind.

Just a couple

Ta ...

... da!
